Wendy Helmes, originally from the green heart of the Netherlands, discovered her passion for creativity at a young age, particularly through drawing graffiti words and faces.
 

In high school, she faced a choice between the expression and sports class, ultimately choosing sports. This inclination towards sports continued, leading her to study physiotherapy, from which she graduated in 2012.
 

After a few years working as a physiotherapist, Wendy embarked on extensive travels and lived in several countries, constantly seeking new experiences and inspirations. During her adventures abroad, she always found moments to indulge in her creative pursuits, honing her skills as an autodidact. However, upon returning to the Netherlands, her creative activities often took a backseat to other responsibilities.

 

In spring 2020, during the global pandemic lockdown, Wendy rediscovered her creative spark. With newfound time and dedication, she reintegrated art into her life alongside her part-time work as a physiotherapist. Determined to take her artistry to the next level, Wendy enrolled in an online art study in 2023, which she is on track to complete soon.

 

Since Fall 2022, Wendy has established her own vibrant art studio in Konstanz, Germany, where she explores and experiments with various artistic mediums and techniques. She began actively participating in exhibitions from the end of 2022, with her first solo exhibition held in January 2024 in Switzerland.

 

Wendy is continuously pushing the boundaries of her creativity and seeking new opportunities to showcase her work internationally. She is currently preparing for a second major solo exhibition this fall and remains dedicated to evolving her artistic skills while developing new and innovative projects.
